Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Yacht Club of Sister Bay?
We’re in the heart of the village of Sister Bay, Wisconsin - about half an hour north of Sturgeon Bay. Our campus is situated on the south shore of Sister Bay which is connected to Green Bay. We are nestled between a village beach park and a beautiful cedar/hardwood forest with a half mile long nature trail.

What makes the Yacht Club of Sister Bay different from other condo properties?
In a word—water. We’re one of the very few properties in all of Door County that is located right on the water.

Anything more than the view?
Plenty. The Yacht Club of Sister Bay offers 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units, each decorated to the individual tastes of their owners.  You feel like a guest in someone’s home rather than staying in a typical cookie-cutter condo.

What other amenities are offered?
Every unit features a field stone fireplace, some are gas--others are natural. Many of the fireplaces are two-sided so you can enjoy a cozy fire from your living room and master bedroom. Second and third floor units have a private balcony overlooking the water. First floor units feature a patio facing the water. Every unit features a fully equipped kitchen—including refrigerator/freezer, microwave, range, dishwasher, disposal, dishware and utensils.  All bed linens and towels are included. There’s also a washer/dryer combo in each unit. All units are No Smoking.

Can I pick the unit I want to rent?
If you request a specific unit we will make every effort to make it available. Since every unit is decorated to the individual tastes of the owners and units are rented on a first-come, first-served basis, we can’t guarantee that your unit will be exactly the same as the ones pictured on this site. However, all units feature the same amenities, including spectacular water views.

Is there a minimum stay?

What are the check in and check out times?

What about the resort grounds?
Guests and owners love our full size heated indoor pool and whirlpool. We also have an exercise room as well as locker rooms with showers. We also offer a lakeside tennis court and there are a number of gas grills around the beautifully landscaped grounds.

Can I bring my boat?

Where do we eat?
Our unique location places us within easy walking distance of some of Door County’s great restaurants and coffee shops. Check out our Neighborhood page for more information!

What other fun activities are there to do in the area?
We’re only minutes from the best golf Door County has to offer. Three courses are within 15 minutes. On a smaller scale, we’re just down the road from mini-golf at Pirate’s Cove and Johnson’s Park Go Carts.

The Shoreline tour boat leaves the dock from the Sister Bay village marina several times a day to provide spectacular views of the Peninsula seen only from the water. You can also rent jet skis, pontoons and power boats at the Sister Bay marina. Kayaks are available at the park next to our resort.

We’re just a short drive from two of Door County’s great state parks—Peninsula to the south and Newport to the north--beaches, hiking, biking and so much more. They’re also great places for winter sports such as cross country skiing, snow shoe hiking and snowmobiling.

The Northern Sky Theatre is only minutes away in Peninsula State Park. The Peninsula Players are just south of Fish Creek. For a complete list of activities, events and festivals, be sure to check out the Sister Bay tourism site and the Door County tourism site. Something is going on every week all year long.
